Link Exchange
![]()
Exchanging links is still the best way for search engines to find you.
The way most search engines rank your site depends on 2 major factors. How relevant your site is:
The relevance of your site is basically how your content reflects the keywords that your site is focused on.
and how many other sites link to you. Both of these factors are not impossible to achieve.
Links to you, are how many other web pages out there that have links to your site. The more sites that link to you the higher your ranking will be.
Some of the ways you can get links to your site is to exchange links with sites that have similar themes. You can also write articles on your site subject and submit them to free article archive sites.
It is a good idea to get as many one way links (such as articles) and 2 ways links as you can. Remember that pages that link to you should be relevant to your site, and it really helps if they have a good ranking also.
In under 30 days my site was crawled by Google, Yahoo, and MSN. I am now getting hits from these search engines. The reason for this is link exchanging. I am using free services, and standard link exchange requests, to manage my link exchange projects. It is well worth it to use these services for yourself.
- Link Market - Easy to use interface. Free membership does not give you content specific links, just all sites that are looking for link exchange partners. I use the free service for now, but will most likely upgrade in the near future.
- TelaLinks - This is not your ordinary link exchange manager. I really like this service and hope more people spread the word. It adds an entire web directory to your site. As it grow so do the links to your site. I am starting to get a steady flow of traffic from them now.
- Link Vault - An excellent automated link exchange program. By adding a small piece of code to your web pages you will get up to 5 links displayed per page with code. As you get more traffic, your link vault links will be shown more on other sites in their network.
I am really interested in the above link referal program. I just started using it and I will let you know how it performs in an update very soon.
